Job Description

We are looking for a talented, smart, and enthusiastic leader to manage inventory planning and operations within Amazon Music Japan. As the Instock Manager, you will oversee planning and inventory management for our physical music and merch category. You will drive analyses, optimizations, and processes to ensure we achieve world-class inventory availability and health. Additionally, you will own initiatives that improve cost-to-serve, customer experience, and operational performance.

Key job responsibilities
- Monitor and manage in-stock and inventory health metrics for new release and replenishment products through internal systems, ensuring optimal availability while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
- Identify and resolve operational pain points across financial performance, customer experience, and vendor experience through data analysis and tactical problem-solving.
- Report and communicate key operational KPIs to internal stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Own end-to-end bonus bundling operations for newly released Amazon Exclusive products, partnering with third-party and internal stakeholders to drive process improvement and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with vendor account management teams to support business-level initiatives from an operational perspective.
- Work cross-functionally with internal systems and operations teams (e.g., Forecasting, Buying, Supply Chain Management) to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.

A day in the life
Working under the guidance of the Sr. Programs Manager and the Head of Physical Music & Merch, you will manage day-to-day inventory operations — including PO management, catalog hygiene, and unhealthy inventory reduction — while developing your skills in forecasting, vendor collaboration, and operational analysis. As you grow in the role, you will take on increasing ownership of forecasting accuracy, cost-to-serve improvement, and instock processes for new categories such as artist merchandise.
