How you’ll make an impact:
1. You will be responsible for technical contribution and engineering development work, ensure that engineering is developed with complete information including all multidisciplinary information, evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks for conventional projects with moderately complex features, act as a design authority for engineering deliverables in all applicable engineering disciplines, possibly act as design authority for a particular engineering discipline and complete engineering assignments for that discipline, and collaborate on project installation, commissioning and site activities, clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct problems.
2. You will be responsible for sales support work, create project engineering proposals through coordination of proposal documents and engineering estimates, and perform engineering risk analysis before submitting proposal.
3. You will support Contract Manager in issuing claims including new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications and other relevant contents for contract management.
4. You will take charge of planning and control work, define project tasks and ensure allocation of these tasks among project team members, define schedule, cost and quality metrics, and coordinate the creation of work plans and cost estimates in all applicable engineering disciplines.
5. You will conduct risk and opportunity management work, evaluate risks and opportunities, strategize mitigation solutions for assigned engineering projects and programs, and support the Project Director in overall project risk and opportunity assessments and the implementation of resulting actions.
6. You will maintain customer communication and collaboration, work with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seek feedback and innovate with customers to drive and deliver improvements, attend project meetings and represent all engineering aspects of project assignments, and interact with officials, contractors, suppliers and other relevant parties.
7. You will manage supply chain related work, oversee the creation of subcontracts and manage the subcontractors jointly with other involved functions including supply chain management, and negotiate project claims and engineering changes.
8. You will undertake technical leadership and knowledge sharing work, collaborate and network with engineering colleagues within Hitachi Energy and externally, and share best practice across different projects and disciplines.
9. You will manage processes and tools optimization, review and develop standard processes, tools and techniques, and ensure that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
10. You will conduct people leadership and development work, lead, supervise and coordinate interdisciplinary in-house and outsourced teams on medium-complexity projects.
11. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
2. At least 10 years of experience in project coordination, project engineering, or a similar role within the power generation, transmission, or distribution industry.
3. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
6. Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) is required.
7. Knowledge of power systems, grid technologies, or high voltage equipment is a plus.
