ETCS RBC Security Test Engineer – TCB / PKI / Secure Communication       

Job purpose

 

The new member will be part of the RBC team

You will have the opportunity to work with experts from Romania and Germany (Berlin) in a very dynamic and complex environment and also you will be responsible for testing the ETCS Level2 software products like Radio Block Centre.

 

Job summary

 

Test of complex and safety-critical application software for the railway field, mainly focusing on TrustedComputingBased Component of the ETCS  RadioBlockCenter.

 

The TCB Security Test Engineer shall be able to:

• Understand the ERA/Unisig Specification : SS-114, SS-137 and SS-146;
• Understand the cryptographic applied;
• Write  test cases for positive & negative scenarios;
• Test Robustness;
• Perform Security-testing;
• Test certificates  (validity, revocation, wrong/expiration keys);
• Test Message authentication;

 

The role is a mixed of Linux + Ruby + OpenSSL + Wireshark / TCPDump + PKI + Networking + Test automation.

 

 Professional competencies

 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Transportation, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, or similar (Engineering background is a must)

 

Requested technical competencies:

 

• Requirements-based testing (advanced)
• Linux knowledge (advanced)
• TCP/IP networking (advanced)
• Tcpdump analysis (advanced)
• Wireshark / packet analysis (advanced)
• TLS / secure communication (advanced)
• PKI (CMP, X509) certificates (medium-advanced)
• ERA UNISIG SUBSET-137 & SUBSET-146 (medium-advanced)
• Cryptography concepts (medium-advanced)
• Cybersecurity testing (medium-advanced)
• Ruby / Python  scripting  (medium)

Would be a plus:

- CENELEC EN 50128 / EN 50716

- CENELEC EN 50126 / EN 50129Experience in Railway Business / ETCS
