Job Title - Allocated Cost Analysis and Optimisation, AVP

Location - Mumbai, India


Role Description

  • The “Global Cost & FTE Management Team” within PB COO deals with all topics related to cost (including allocated costs) and FTE management in the Private Bank division. We support the senior management, in particular the CEO, COO and CFO, as well as internal and group-relevant management units/committees of Deutsche Bank with the relevant questions to support decision making.
  • Current, historical, and forward-looking data are analyzed, prepared as well as submitted and presented to the PB committees and DB Group committees.
  • Major projects are also supported with focus on cost and FTE-relevant topics.
  • The SRC team is a new strategic team within PB COO. Service Relationship costs include both the costs received from Infrastructure divisions (TDI and non TDI) as well as front office and PB costs that are re-aligned to enable SVA performance management
  • You will be part of the team that is shaping how PB manage allocated cost globally and therefore will have large exposure to senior business stakeholders

Your key responsibilities

  • The SRC team is relatively new team within PB COO created to raise awareness and knowledge of allocated cost, a key component of the role is to be able to explain this methodology to stakeholders across the organization
  • Given SVA focus and materiality of the cost base more focus on PB internal allocations including transfer pricing is required – there is an opportunity to build out this understanding, make process improvements and develop improved MI and transparency
  • TDI remains the most material cost within PB, being able to review and interpret cost information and relative allocations and to summarise findings clearly
  • Add governance and V&C to cost transfer pricing and be able to commercialise OEA and GSTP into simple messages for business stakeholders
  • Ad hoc analysis and support to senior management both to support the financial cycle and beyond

 

Your skills and experience

  • Strong analytical and cost background.  Detailed knowledge of DBCM, TDI cost allocations and Transfer Pricing process a positive.
  • Systems knowledge such as ICAR/GGL/Apptio and Clarity is a real positive
  • Ability to deep dive into infra areas, understanding how allocations work and the cost drivers behind them.
  • Having the knowledge to be able to review and proactively support suggestions for potential PB cost saving opportunities
  • High level of personal initiative and commitment, ability to work under time pressure at the highest quality level.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
  • Very good knowledge of MS standard software, as well as experience in visualizing data, facts and trends.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
