Has authority and accountability for the assigned geographic area, including patient satisfaction, quality of care, financial goals (Incumbent will have financial accountability for budget and revenue for the assigned geographic area), and responsibility of managing all capital expenditures.Where this job exists at a large affiliate, as defined as: Bay Foundation, Valley Foundation, CPMC, ABSMC, SMCS and OU roles, and reports to an Executive-Path leader, the title will be Executive.
Job Description:
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
OPERATIONS
• Assists in the implementation of a strategic plan that ensures the growth efforts within the assigned geographic area. Develops business plans and the programs in support of the strategic plan.
• Works closely with foundation service line executives on the implementation and monitoring of foundation service line operations.
• Develops and monitors annual geographic area budget (operations and capital).
• Manages performance to meet annual operating budget targets.
• Presents understandable and meaningful financial data, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership regarding growth opportunities.
• Support of facility planning work that integrates staffing and practices through consolidation of leases and space, awareness of facility needs and so forth.
RELATIONSHIPS
• Partners with physician executives, leadership team in the operation of the geographic area to include planning, development and implementation of key initiatives. Communicates effectively with physicians' leaders to ensure positive partnerships within the geographic area.
• Partners in the coordination/collaboration with Sutter acute care facilities.
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
15 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Demonstrated knowledge in areas of physician practice operations and financing and managed care business Prior experience in a managed care market required
Demonstrated record of developing highly effective working relationships with physicians.
Communication skills including oral, written and presentation.
Effective leadership skills and decision-making skills.

Pay Range is $253,073.60 to $404,934.40 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
