Job Description

Amazon Exports and Expansion is building new services responsible for providing the best customer experience for an increasing customer base around the globe. Our mission is to provide a one-stop shopping experience to international customers that enables us to:

1. Reach millions of new customers all over the world, providing them with a world class shopping personalized experience in their local language, payments, and currencies
2. Leverage latest technology resources to automate and simplify the Customer Journey
3. Work closely with the business teams to define the expansion strategy and implement innovative solutions to help this thriving business continue to its exponential growth

We enable customers from over 200+ destinations to purchase products on Amazon with guaranteed shipping and import duty fees. We seek to improve this experience by making selection available across all Amazon stores, so that customers can search and browse in their preferred language and currency. No two features are ever the same and our customers are hungry for every single one!

Key job responsibilities
1. Design and develop state of the art software systems that address complex and ambiguous problems to improve the cross-border experience.
2. Facilitate the design of the architecture of these distributed and highly scalable systems.
3. Solve complex problems by leveraging the latest technologies available in combination with data
4. Own the inputs and the business outcome through cultivating a culture of relentless auditing and metric monitoring, automatically where possible.

A day in the life

Basic Qualifications:

- 1+ years of contributing to new and current systems architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
