This role is essential to shaping a brighter way for our clients by ensuring continuous uptime of mission-critical systems with zero downtime tolerance. You'll be empowered to thrive as the primary technical point of contact during shift hours, leading and coordinating your engineering team while reporting to the Chief Engineer. We believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and in this position, you'll do exactly that by coordinating work order responses, optimizing team performance, and making sound technical decisions under pressure to prevent operational downtime. • Monitor building automation systems (BAS) and critical equipment performance, conducting regular facility rounds and system checks to identify potential issues proactively

• Coordinate and lead work order responses during shift hours, ensuring timely resolution of issues while executing documented planned maintenance procedures

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems with minimal disruption to operations

• Lead shift communications by documenting all activities, open issues, and priorities in CMMS and shift handover logs for seamless 24/7 operational awareness

• Coordinate contractor activities during shift hours for technical and specialized work, tracking maintenance completion rates and identifying resource constraints

• Ensure all shift activities comply with safety procedures and regulatory requirements, conducting safety briefings and enforcing safe work practices across your team

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 5+ years of related experience in facilities operations, especially in critical operations environments

• Universal CFC EPA certification with strong technical expertise in complex building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and serve as primary point of contact during shift hours with sound decision-making capabilities

• Previous lead, supervisory, or team coordination experience with demonstrated ability to work independently and manage emergency responses

• Strong customer service and communication skills with ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use ladders up to 30 feet tall, and frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and conduct facility rounds throughout shift

Preferred qualifications:

• Trade school education, union training, military service, or college-level coursework in technical fields

• Additional technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related building systems disciplines

• Working knowledge of CMMS systems for work order management and documentation, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

• Experience with 24/7 critical operations or shift-based facilities management in commercial or mission-critical environments
