The Opportunity
We are seeking a Consultant with hands-on business analytics experience to join our Business Consulting team in Malta. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth, learning, and career development within our organisation.
You will sit within our Business Analytics competency, helping clients across financial services, gaming, hospitality, the public sector and other industries turn data into better decisions through KPI frameworks, dashboards, customer insights and value tracking. We work as one team, so you will also have the chance to contribute to our transformation delivery and business architecture work, and we will support you in building that breadth.
This is a role for someone who sees the bigger picture. We are looking for a consultant who can walk into a client environment, spot where data is being underused, and shape the opportunity into a solution.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Analytics and Insight
- Design KPI and performance measurement frameworks aligned to client strategy, with clear definitions, targets and ownership.
- Prepare and analyse data to identify trends, drivers and root causes, and build dashboards and reporting solutions that support reliable decision-making.
- Support scenario analysis, forecasting, benefits tracking and performance improvement for clients.
- Turn analysis into clear recommendations and communicate them to executive, non-technical audiences.
- Analyse customer, product and portfolio performance to inform prioritisation, roadmaps and investment decisions.
- Apply data management and governance standards to everything you produce.
- Client Delivery
- Contribute to end to end analytics workstreams, covering scope, plan, deliverables, quality and timelines.
- Facilitate workshops to align stakeholders on metrics, definitions and business priorities.
- Identify risks and issues, escalate appropriately, and support adoption of the solutions you deliver.
- Contribute to transformation and operating model engagements so that design decisions are evidenced by data.
- Contribute to high-quality deliverables, proposals and thought leadership, and share knowledge across the team.
- Opportunity Identification and Solution Shaping
- Identify where data can create value for a client, and translate that into a clear, practical solution and business case.
- Shape analytics solutions such as anomaly detection, risk and control monitoring, self-service analytics and automated reporting.
- Think beyond the immediate brief, connecting analytics opportunities to the client's wider strategy, operating model and transformation agenda.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in business analytics, business intelligence or data-driven advisory work, ideally in a client-facing environment.
- Strong capability in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, report design), SQL and advanced Excel; familiarity with Python or an equivalent analytics language.
- Solid understanding of KPI design, performance measurement and management reporting.
- Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Structured problem solving, and experience gathering requirements through interviews and workshops.
- Results-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to AI and advanced analytics use cases, and a view of where they add business value.
- Experience in customer, product or portfolio analytics, or working knowledge of transformation delivery methods (Agile, Scrum, SAFe) or process and operating model design, is considered an asset.
- Sector experience in financial services, gaming, hospitality or the public sector is considered an asset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Business and Computing, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g. Microsoft PL-300, AI-900, PSPO, SAFe POPM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma) would be considered an asset.
