  • Work on varied projects—from critical production components to prototype development
  • Program CNC machines using GibbsCAM
  • Develop machining strategies and associated fixtures
  • Execute machining on 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis equipment
  • Verify completed parts meet engineering models and drawings

What You Will Learn
You will collaborate with experienced machinists, manufacturing engineers, quality teams, and leadership with deep expertise in precision machining. Expect continuous learning opportunities and exposure to new challenges that promote technical and professional growth.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers (ex. vertical/horizontal machining centers, lathes, jig bores, and/or trunnions)
  • Experience with manual inspection tools
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience with CNC programming
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience programming 5‑axis horizontal and trunnion machines using GibbsCAM and experience operating 5‑axis machines and using kellering techniques
  • Experience editing programs for Fanuc and Arumatik controls working with Kitamura and Mori Seiki machines
  • Experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum alloys.
  • Knowledge of hand deburr and advanced manual polishing techniques and familiarity with Renishaw probes and macros for setup/tool compensation
  • Experience interpreting CMM results using PC‑DMIS
  • Experience designing/building fixtures for hog-outs and castings
  • Strong practical understanding of GD&T in a manufacturing environment
