The Opportunity:
Warehouse Shipping & Receiving includes: Receiving/inspecting goods and verifying items against the shipment record. Gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method. Recording received and shipped items A Specialist Para-Professional (S4) requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Responsibilities may include: Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations. Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees. Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.
How you’ll make an impact:
· Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance.
· Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
· Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
· Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
· Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
· Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
· Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status.
· Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
· Confer and coordination activities with other departments.
· Design and optimize the rack layout & material flow to gain high efficiency.
· Modify the warehouse layout for kitting and sequencing area, to achieve shortest movement in warehouse and good usage of warehouse space.
· Kitting of material as per the Production Order and Pick List.
· Handling all incoming material flow with proper documentation.
· Experience in loading and unloading Row material and Finished goods.
· Create the Subcontracting challan to send material to vendor for rework.
· In charge of material feeding to production line timely and accurately.
· Responsible for periodical inventory counting as per need.
· Provides logistics support on cross-functional teams.
· Continuously improve logistic efficiency by introducing automation technology, especially for the logistic process and warehouse set-up.
· Lead and participate lean activities in the shop floor. 5S, Visual management.
Your background:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering - Mechanical/Electrical with 3-5 years' experience / Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical with 5-8 years' experience in Stores and Logistics. (Preferred Experience in High Voltage Switch Gear Industry).
- Strong working knowledge of Stores & Logistics Operations, Inventory Management, Inventory Ageing Taxation (GST, E-way bill) and SAP system in MM and PP module.
- ISO 9001,14001, 45001 & 50001 Knowledge.
- Proficiency in use of MS Office and both spoken-written English language is required
- Self-motivated and self-organized, open-minded and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and multi-tasking.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
