Key responsibilities:
As an Electrical / Navcom Superintendent, you will play a role in:
- Providing first-level technical support and troubleshooting to Tanker vessels and shore teams on Electrical & Automation and Navigation & Communication related issues, to minimize downtime
- Providing day-to-day technical guidance and coaching to the Travelling ETO pool assigned to your vessels
- Improving equipment reliability and lifecycle performance while maintaining cost leadership
- Assisting in monitoring vessel compliance with flag and class requirements related to Electrical, Automation and Navcom equipment
- Managing repairs and modifications within time and budget
- Contributing proactively to operational reliability and sharing valuable lessons learned into vessel operations, equipment design and new building specifications
- Managing lifecycle of Electrical, Automation and Navcom equipment in an optimal way
- Supporting upgrades, retrofits, and obsolescence management as part of continuous improvement
- Evaluating and supporting vendors and key suppliers together with colleagues from procurement and supply chain teams
We're looking for person with:
- Good experience and knowledge of Marine Electrical & Automation and Navigation & Communication equipment.
- Passion for engineering and ability to provide high quality technical support to vessels and shore teams
- Problem-solving flair combined with natural initiative and curiosity
- The ability to thrive with a variety of tasks and understand the big picture, even when things get busy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – essential for collaborating with colleagues, vessel crew and the Travelling ETO pool
- Exceptional planning and structuring of work
We expect you also have:
- A university degree in Electrical or Electronics and Telecommunication
- An experience in OT networking and cybersecurity controls will be good
