Job Description
At Amazon, HR Partners (HRP) provide high-judgment HR support to managers across levels at scale, enabling them to become force multipliers for customer impact and positive employee experience. They demonstrate advanced knowledge of HR policies, processes, and tools, acting as trusted consultants to managers and senior leaders. HRPs work backwards from the voice of the manager to deliver personalized experiences and drive large-scale initiatives using technology and simplified processes that match the speed and agility of our business. They operate independently as subject matter experts with deep knowledge of regional programs and policies, collaborating extensively with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations, Legal, and others to provide integrated people solutions.
Key job responsibilities
- Support managers and senior leaders through complex performance management cases, including performance improvement plans and assessments, while guiding them to implement processes effectively and ensure bias-free evaluations across their teams
- Lead employee relations initiatives by conducting thorough investigations, managing grievance processes, providing policy guidance to managers, and ensuring procedural integrity and compliance with local labor legislation
- Drive change management and program implementation by partnering with HR Business Partners and central teams on complex initiatives, using data and insights to advocate for process improvements, and designing strategies that ensure effective adoption across diverse employee groups
- Develop and implement HR policies that align with local labor laws, establish standardized processes, and integrate seamlessly across the organization while maintaining compliance with regional requirements
- Serve as a strategic partner on ambiguous initiatives by using expertise and judgment to define goals, inform senior leader decisions, manage stakeholder expectations, and present strategic recommendations through compelling narratives and documentation
