Job Description
The Graphics Tech Artist is a key contributor to the GFX Real-Time Systems team, responsible for understanding, implementing, and maintaining the technical workflows behind our real-time broadcast projects.
This role owns the end-to-end build and modification of real-time graphics templates, primarily within the VizRT system, supporting both Remote and Studio productions across Prime Video Live Sports.
This role is fundamental to laying the technical foundation for real-time graphics elements, translating design intent into robust, operator-ready templates while keeping scene logic, control, and data integration functioning reliably on air.
The Graphics Tech Artist works in constant contact with vendors and internal stakeholders providing hardware, software, and creative elements, ensuring everything stays on schedule and works within the framework the team is building. This includes staying current on all software and hardware specs and making updates as needed.
Key job responsibilities
· Manage real-time graphics package, from concept through delivery and seasonal maintenance, primarily within the VizRT system. This includes creating graphics packages from reference images and building out transition logic for scenes with DataPool.
· Able to perform weekly modifications and/or new iterations of existing graphics templates - while conforming work to existing structure of Viz assets and templates.
· Manage project frameworks and delivery schedules in coordination with external vendors, remaining in constant contact to keep assets on schedule.
· Ensure all templates are compliant with technical specifications across design, scene logic, operator control, and data integration. This will include using Trio or other front-end control applications.
· Conduct QC sign-off in alignment with PVLS Production Delivery Guidelines, confirming assets adhere to technical specifications and follow mandated file naming conventions.
· Drive best practices across the full scene-build pipeline, from design hand-off through operator-ready delivery.
· Collaborate with Technical Operations and Technology teams to improve existing tools and operational workflows by identifying problem areas and providing smart solutions.
· Identify operational improvements and help evolve in-house graphics tooling and templates as the team’s capabilities expand.
· Coordinate and track a high volume of work through an end-to-end workflow across both Remote and Studio productions.
· Collaborate closely with internal Production teams, Technical Operations, Technology, and PVLS brand stakeholders.
· Clearly articulate and document technical processes.
· Commission and update system software which supports our projects.
· Occasional travel is required.
About the team
The GFX team is responsible for delivering technical graphics and building efficient delivery processes across Prime Video Live Sports productions. GFX collaborates with Technical Operations to support the entire Live Sports Production with live game and studio graphics projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with real-time 3D graphics, studio automation, and live production tools (e.g., Vizrt or equivalent) in broadcast, sports, or entertainment environments
- 5+ years of experience managing complex technology projects
- 5+ years of experience managing external vendors and delivery timelines
- Experience managing high volumes of work across complex, multi-stakeholder workflows
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical partners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading and collaborating with a large cross-functional team
- 5+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Prior experience using real-time 3D graphics tools (e.g., Unreal Engine or equivalent) for graphics creation
- Prior experience with real-time broadcast graphics control platforms (e.g., Erizos, Vizrt, Chyron, or equivalent)
- Prior experience managing Augmented Reality (AR) and/or Extended Reality (XR) graphics systems in a live or broadcast environment
- Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical partners.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
