Job Description:

The opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, we are advancing the world’s energy system to be more sustainable, flexible, and secure. As a pioneering technology leader, we collaborate with customers and partners worldwide to enable a carbon-neutral energy future for generations to come.

This role is responsible for leading and developing the Cybersecurity and Advanced Services portfolio for Grid Automation Service Europe.

You will transform customer needs, cybersecurity regulations, standards, and market developments into standardized, scalable, and commercially viable service offerings for operational technology environments such as Substation Automation and Control Center systems.

Working with Service, Sales, Engineering, cybersecurity specialists, and country organizations, you will help strengthen and harmonize our cybersecurity capabilities across Europe.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead and further develop the Cybersecurity and Advanced Services portfolio within Service Europe, Grid Automation.
  • Define and standardize cybersecurity services across Europe, including scope, delivery models, responsibilities, prerequisites, and service boundaries.
  • Drive offerings across key OT cybersecurity areas, including assessments, system hardening, vulnerability and patch management, backup and recovery, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Translate customer requirements, cybersecurity regulations, industry standards, and market developments into practical, scalable, and commercially attractive service offerings.
  • Support Sales and Tendering with service scoping, solution mapping, technical responses, customer presentations, workshops, and sales enablement.
  • Develop reusable methods, templates, playbooks, and tools to enable consistent quoting, selling, and delivery of cybersecurity services across European countries.
  • Build and strengthen delivery capabilities through harmonization, technical guidance, training, knowledge transfer, and close collaboration with service engineers and cybersecurity specialists.
  • Drive continuous portfolio development, including cybersecurity assessments, IEC 62443 maturity, incident response and recovery capabilities, technology and vendor evaluation, and alignment with the global cybersecurity organization.

Your background

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
  • Several years of professional experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, SCADA, industrial or substation automation, cybersecurity services, or technical service/product management.
  • Strong understanding of OT environments, critical infrastructure, and the differences between traditional IT cybersecurity and cybersecurity for industrial control systems.
  • Practical knowledge of key cybersecurity topics such as network segmentation, system hardening, vulnerability and patch management, endpoint protection, backup and recovery, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62443 is highly desirable; experience with ISO 27001, NIS2, or other relevant cybersecurity standards and regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
  • Experience defining or managing technical services, service portfolios, or solutions, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear service scopes and compelling customer value propositions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Service, Engineering, Sales, Product Management, partners, customers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent English and willingness to work in an international environment and travel within Europe when required
