As a Senior Software Engineer at BP International Limited, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions. You will contribute to high-performing teams, ensuring the delivery of secure and scalable systems that drive our business forward.

What you will deliver

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex software systems, ensuring alignment to architectural principles and best practices.
• Develop and maintain robust and scalable software solutions, leveraging your expertise in database design, relational data modeling, and scripting.
• Implement and manage continuous deployment and release pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Utilize source control and code management systems effectively, promoting best practices for version control and collaboration.
• Contribute to the creation of high-performing teams through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and encouraging a inclusive environment.
• Act as a subject matter expert in system design and solution architecture, guiding technical decisions and problem-solving.
• Ensure the security and resilience of developed systems by implementing information security best practices and focusing on continuous, reliable, and secure operation of production software systems and supporting infrastructure..
• Facilitate technical discussions and workshops, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Participate in configuration management activities, ensuring consistency and stability across environments.
• Support digital project management efforts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with significant experience in a senior role.
• Strong proficiency in Collaboration and clear Communication skills for cross-team updates, and strong analytical problem solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of digital ways-of-working with focus in portfolio management.
• Expertise in Configuration Management and Continuous Deployment and Release processes.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to Crafting a High Performing Team.
• Experience with Digital Project Management methodologies (i.e. Agile)
• Proficiency in Facilitation, with the ability to lead technical discussions.
• Experience with Service Operations and Resilience.
• Proven ability in Solution Architecture and System Design.
• Expertise in Source Control and Code Management tools and practices.
