Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Flight Operations Support - Meteorologist (f/m) to join our Operational Control Center within the Flight & Integration Test Centre in Toulouse, France. 


You will join a passionate team at the heart of aircraft integration and airline operation testing, assisting flight test crews (engineers and pilots) in their decision-making for weather-dependent flights.

Your challenges:

  • Monitor worldwide weather conditions and provide reports and briefings for flight test preparation in Toulouse, Hamburg, Sevilla, and external missions.
  • Notify crews of weather-dependent test opportunities and provide real-time in-flight decision support via telemetry and SATCOM/VHF links.
  • Minimize planning risks for the flight test program.
  • Drive the transformation and improvement of weather forecasting tools used for flight testing.
  • Conduct ad-hoc meteorological studies and support other Airbus entities (ATR, Helicopters, Defense and Space).

Your boarding pass:

  • Background in Meteorology with strong knowledge in aviation meteorology.
  • Analytical skills with digital tool proficiency (Python, R) and knowledge in AI.
  • Team-oriented and customer-focused mindset with the ability to perform well under pressure in a reactive environment. Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building skills, and flexibility.
  • Advanced level in English and French.
  • Willingness for on-call duties (weekends/public holidays), shift flexibility, and occasional worldwide travel (~1 week/year).
