Job Description:

As an Electro-Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for developing innovative electromechanical devices, components, and systems tailored for high-volume manufacturing. You will transform design concepts into functional prototypes, create detailed manufacturing drawing packages, and conduct system simulations to ensure feasibility and reliability. Your work will play a critical role in driving design excellence and ensuring product functionality, reliability, and performance.

You will be joining Intel Corporation's Product Design Enabling organization, a team dedicated to advancing design methodologies and delivering innovative solutions for world-class products. The group focuses on developing and optimizing electromechanical designs, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to support Intel's broader goal of creating industry-leading devices and systems. Together, we strive to empower innovation and enable next-generation products with precision and efficiency.

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and develop PCB test boards and associated electromechanical devices, systems, components, packaging, and prototypes tailored for Advanced Packaging Technology development.
  • Create product and test specifications based on technical requirements and conduct design reviews to ensure alignment and quality.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing drawing packages for PCB and mechanical assemblies using CAD tools.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and create system simulations to validate new and existing designs for functionality, reliability, and safety.
  • Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing technologies to optimize electromechanical designs.
  • Execute comprehensive test plans to validate electronic and mechanical interactions, including thermal cycling, dynamic analysis, and functional reliability testing.
  • Apply advanced computer-aided design engineering methods to resolve technical challenges in design and implementation processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including thermal, mechanical, and system engineers, to optimize design parameters and achieve performance objectives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Associate degree in a related technical field with 8-10 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical design.
  • Advanced experience in CAD tools for designing PCB and mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, materials selection, and high-volume production environments.
  • Expertise in developing and executing test plans for functionality validation and reliability assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field with 3-6 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical design.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated project management abilities, including configuration management and change control.
  • Familiarity with dynamic analysis, thermal cycling, and system simulations.
  • Experience conducting design previews and resolving implementation issues with cross-functional partners.

We invite you to bring your creativity, technical expertise, and passion for innovation to a team that values collaboration and delivers impactful solutions. Apply today to contribute to cutting-edge designs that power tomorrow's technology.
