Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and business continuity for the AU & NZ Services Cluster Technology team, optimizing technical resources and operational models to support the franchise effectively.
  • Provide critical technology support for the local Services business, ensuring seamless, high-availability operations across Payments, Liquidity, Trade, Investor Service, and Issuer Service by partnership with global technology teams.
  • Embed directly within AU & NZ product and operations teams to provide direct technical support for core business functions
  • Utilize specialized in-country technology expertise to manage, navigate, and align Citi platforms with industry-specific technology changes within the complex, evolving market infrastructure and local
  • Apply local domain expertise to efficiently identify, address, and remediate region-specific risks, bottlenecks, and system dependencies in critical functions such as incident resolution, service delivery, and change management.
  • Ensure high service availability, operational resilience, and meet specific requirements of local clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage third-party technology vendors and outsourcing relationships to ensure strict compliance with company policies, local, and established service level agreements
  • Govern the scheme change management pipeline ensuring all application and infrastructure changes impacting payment rails are thoroughly reviewed, risk-assessed, and submitted for formal scheme approval.
  • Manage technical relationships and operational service oversight for clearing partner banks ensuring optimal connectivity and SLA compliance.

Required Experience


  • 2 - 5 years' experience within technology, payments, or infrastructure functions in banking or financial services.
  • Understanding of Australian and New Zealand payments schemes and clearing arrangements.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing, treasury services, receivables, payables, and trade finance platforms.
  • Experience supporting business-critical applications in a highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory, industry, or scheme-driven technology initiatives.
  • Proven track record managing production incidents, operational risk, and service resilience.
  • Knowledge of technology governance, change management, risk frameworks, and operational resilience.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills across business, technology, operations, and executive audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in complex, fast-paced environments

  • Delivery Methodologies & Tools: Agile, JIRA, and SaaS platforms
  • XML/JSON: ISO 20022 message definitions (pacs, pain, camt), SWIFT MT/MX mapping, and JSON/REST APIs.
  • Production Support: L1/L2 incident resolution and log triage
  • Regulatory Reporting: APRA (CPS 230/234), AUSTRAC (IFTI/TTR), and RBA/RBNZ requirements.
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
