About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Supervising Associate - Business Analyst to join the ES - MENA Technology team. The role will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, solution architects, developers, and quality assurance teams.

The successful candidate will lead requirement discovery, business process analysis, documentation, stakeholder alignment, solution validation, and requirements lifecycle management across technology initiatives. The role requires the flexibility to take ownership of, coordinate, or directly support quality assurance activities when project needs require it.

Role Purpose

Translate business needs into clear, traceable, testable, and implementation-ready specifications while helping delivery teams build solutions that meet stakeholder expectations, quality standards, and intended business outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

Business Analysis and Requirements Management

• Plan and lead requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews, discovery sessions, process walkthroughs, observation, document analysis, and other appropriate techniques.
• Analyze business problems, pain points, opportunities, and operating constraints, and translate them into well-defined business and solution requirements.
• Create and maintain business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows, data requirements, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability matrices.
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, process visualizations, and low-fidelity prototypes to facilitate requirement validation, stakeholder alignment, and solution design discussions.
• Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, feasible, unambiguous, prioritized, traceable, and testable.
• Manage the requirements lifecycle, including baselining, change control, impact assessment, stakeholder review, approval, and traceability through delivery and testing.
• Facilitate current-state and future-state analysis, gap assessments, root-cause analysis, and business process improvement.
• Translate complex business needs into actionable specifications for product, engineering, data, integration, and testing teams.

Product and Solution Delivery

• Contribute to business case development, investment justification, and strategic decision-making by evaluating business needs, solution options, costs, risks, and expected benefits.
• Partner with product owners and delivery leads to shape product backlogs, define priorities, clarify scope, and support roadmap and release planning.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily coordination, reviews, and retrospectives, as applicable.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to clarify requirements, evaluate solution options, resolve requirement gaps, and support informed trade-off decisions.
• Support change readiness, release readiness, deployment planning, and post-implementation validation.
• Promote AI-assisted requirements engineering, structured specification practices, reusable templates, and consistent analysis standards, with appropriate human review and validation.

Quality Assurance and Testing

• Define measurable acceptance criteria and confirm that functional and non-functional requirements are testable.
• Develop, review, or refine test scenarios, test cases, test data needs, and expected results based on approved requirements.
• Participate in or coordinate system integration testing, regression testing, business validation, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate test coverage against requirements and maintain bidirectional traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria, test cases, and defects.
• Support defect triage, severity and priority discussions, root-cause analysis, retesting, and closure validation.
• When required, perform hands-on functional testing and assume QA coordination responsibilities to support delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams on test automation opportunities, quality controls, and continuous improvement of testing practices.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

• Build effective working relationships with business and technology stakeholders across MENA, GDS, and global teams.
• Facilitate decisions, manage competing priorities, and communicate requirement impacts, dependencies, risks, and unresolved questions clearly.
• Present analysis, recommendations, process models, and requirement artifacts to senior stakeholders in a concise and business-focused manner.
• Provide guidance, peer review, and mentoring to junior business analysts and contribute to capability-building initiatives.
• Demonstrate ownership, professional judgment, accountability, and a quality-first approach throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute reusable requirement assets, user story patterns, checklists, process models, test artifacts, and lessons learned to shared repositories.
• Identify opportunities to improve business analysis, requirements governance, quality assurance, and delivery practices.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, AI-enabled delivery methods, business analysis practices, and relevant industry trends.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 7-12 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years of relevant domain experience in business analysis, product analysis, functional consulting, product ownership, or a comparable role.
• Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, prioritization, traceability, and change management.
• Hands-on experience creating business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, process flows, data requirements, and traceability matrices.
• Experience working across the software development lifecycle and within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Practical knowledge of software testing lifecycle activities, including functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, defect management, and test traceability.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and working with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
• Working knowledge of lifecycle and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent platforms.
• Ability and willingness to take up QA coordination and hands-on functional testing responsibilities when required.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

• IIBA CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, PSPO, CSPO, ISTQB, or a relevant equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting enterprise application delivery, digital transformation, shared services, consulting, finance, tax, risk, HR, or other business domains.
• Exposure to AI-assisted requirements analysis, specification-driven delivery, low-code platforms, Power Platform, Power BI, or Copilot-enabled solutions.
• Experience with test automation concepts, QA governance, business process improvement, or change management.
