Clinical Psychologist - McLean, VA | leidos Job

Leidos Health & Civil Sector is seeking Clinical Psychologist candidates to work in Chantilly, VA or McLean, VA *location to be determined by staffing need. This is a very rewarding and challenging opportunity supporting our Military and Intelligence men and women and the challenges they face.

Leidos will consider sponsoring qualified individuals towards gaining the Top Secret/SCI with Poly security clearance required for this position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and clinical interviews, including documenting clinical findings.

• Diagnose psychological disorders and provide evidence-based psychotherapy and consultations

• Conduct diagnostic interviews and therapy sessions using evidence-based and brief therapeutic models and consultation to management and other medical staff.

• Provide current national mental health care referral capability/network information and resources, as applicable.

• Develop and implement mental health related workshops, briefings and facilitate group therapy, as requested

• Conduct pre/post deployment consultations, mental health briefings and organizational consultation to components involved in high-threat and expeditionary operations.

• Maintain complete, accurate, and current records of all clinical services rendered, includes initial evaluations, progress notes, summary notes and all other necessary documentation

• Consult with management and other medical staff as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy. D.) in Clinical Psychology

• Completion of an APA-accredited program

• Postdoctoral supervised experience, ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 hours, often in a clinical setting

• 5 years of post-licensure/certification experience

• Must have state licensure as a Psychologist to work at an independent level. A current valid unrestricted counseling license/certification from one of the 50 U.S. states or D.C. that grants the authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner in their respective fields is required.

• Experience conducting assessments and clinical interviews to include documenting clinical findings

• Ability to diagnose psychological disorders and provide evidence-based psychotherapy

• Strong clinical abilities, and enthusiasm for a collaborative approach to treatment.

• Excellent verbal and communication skills

• Detail-Oriented

Pay Range $154,050.00 - $271,957.50
