Raytheon is seeking a high performing HR professional to fill a Human Resources Business Partner role supporting the Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit.  In this dynamic and fast-paced role, the HR Business Partner will partner and collaborate with business leaders and HR colleagues across all of Raytheon’s functions and Center’s of Excellence to understand strategies and objectives while applying HR solutions in a proactive manner, consistent with the Human Resources vision and mission. The HRBP will collaborate with program managers and will advise and architect on topics including organizational effectiveness, change and talent management, compensation, and benefits.  Additionally, in partnership with HR leaders and other business partners, the HR partner will provide leadership and support in the execution of strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, employee engagement, and talent development. The ability to build relationships, execute project deliverables, exercise sound judgment and work collaboratively on multiple projects is critical in this role.


What You Will Do

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and employees
  • Partner with AT leaders to proactively identify program and capture talent needs
  • Collaborate across the matrix to align on staffing demand and drive staffing solutions using operational and strategic workforce planning
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how HR can support business growth and performance
  • Translate business and HR strategies into operational and actionable plans
  • Embrace and model core values to further advance the organizational culture; develop and implement strategies in support of employee engagement and retention
  • Actively partner to deliver the full scope of HR solutions including talent acquisition, performance management, leadership capability and development, compensation planning, employee development, succession planning, organizational effectiveness & organizational development
  • Educate business partners and employees on HR policy, process and practice to ensure effective execution and compliance with policies and drive execution of best practices locally

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree with 12 years prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree with 10 years of related experience.  
  • Experience leading HR processes, providing solutions to meet business challenges, and coaching leaders to build the workforce.
  • Experience with HR business applications and systems, such as Workday, Qlik, and applicant tracking, or similar database and query tools.
  • Experience in working effectively in a heavily matrixed organization, with solid and dotted line reporting.

  • Results orientation with strong organizational/follow-up skills and ability to prioritize and drive multiple tasks to closure concurrently
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the HR team, and demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple HR functional disciplines to develop solutions
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of styles at all levels in the organization
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
