What You Will Do​:

Solipsys Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace/RTX and is an industry leader in the development of command-and-control software systems and operates in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced business environment with both commercial and Government customers, including a mix of domestic and international pursuits and programs. This position is located in Fulton, MD and does require some travel to customer sites as needed.

• Perform full life cycle systems engineering tasks including system requirements analysis, definition, architecture design, trade studies, integration, verification and validation (V&V), formal testing, and software installation.
• Design, develop and test exciting and innovative advancements in Multi-Sensor and Information Fusion, Networked Situational Awareness, and Visualization technologies.
• Work with department systems engineering subject matter experts to solve critical technical problems with innovative solutions.

• Learn the fundamentals of the Systems Engineering discipline.
• Gain hands-on experience testing and debugging state-of-the-art Command and Control software.
• Establish mentoring relationships with systems engineering subject matter experts to help you build a solid foundation for your future as a professional engineer.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer, Software, Electrical Engineering or a STEM major obtained by start date.

Qualifications We Prefer​:

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Knowledge with any of these systems: Link 16 Tactical Data Link (J series messages), Command and Control (C2), Surveillance/Radars, Air Traffic Control, Mission Planning, Missile Systems or Combat/Fire Control Systems, or Shipboard Combat Systems such as Aegis and SSDS Mk II.
• Knowledge in software testing across multiple operating environments such as Linux, Windows, Virtual Machines, and Containers.
• Knowledge of software development in Java and C++ and scripting in Linux shells, Windows PowerShell, and Python.
• Experience as an intern or summer hire working for a DoD contractor.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
