Our Opportunity

Thales are looking for a dedicated Regional Tactical buyer to join the procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for Purchase Order creation, changes, and cancellation along with being the primary point of contact for our internal stakeholders and any supplier queries.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day activities such as; requesting quotations, negotiating pricing within the Delegation of Authority thresholds, ensuring accuracy of the orders, relevant notes and requirements for the Purchase Order, and any related documentation.

Day to day you will

• Represent the Thales Business Units to external suppliers.
• Responsible for all Purchase Order creation, changes, and cancellation along with being the primary point of contact with the supplier communication.
• Perform data analytics, quotes comparisons and summary preparations.
• Secure the best procurement solution (quality, price and timing), meeting the customer’s needs and aligned with the relevant procurement Strategy.
• Tactical buyers also have the responsibility of managing disputes that may arise throughout the process.
• Ensuring the integrity of the quality Management System is maintained when changes are planned and implemented and that it conforms to the International Standard requirements.

                           

About you

This role would suit someone who has extensive customer service experience and would like to take their career to the next level. You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with many stakeholders, customers and cultures. If you have some experience or knowledge of SAP or Oracle that would be advantageous along with a genuine interest in a career within procurement. This role could be a gateway to category buyer, project management, supplier performance or procurement roles.
