Job Description

Amazon's ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System) team is seeking a results-driven Area Manager, Field to lead strategic productivity and continuous improvement initiatives across our Fresh Fulfillment Center network. This is a field-based role requiring approximately 75% travel to partner directly with site operations leadership, identify cost-saving opportunities, and scale best-in-class productivity programs. Key job responsibilities

Travel approximately 75% to Fresh FC sites across the network to drive productivity initiatives and process improvements

Lead strategic productivity initiatives in partnership with senior operations teams, identifying and validating cost-saving opportunities across the network

Develop and implement standardized productivity measurement frameworks, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of performance metrics

Partner with field teams to scale successful productivity programs, providing technical guidance and best practice implementation

Build and maintain strategic relationships with operations leadership to drive continuous improvement through analytical and process improvement insights and recommendations





A day in the life

As an ACES Area Manager, Field, you will spend the majority of your time embedded with site teams across the Fresh FC network. A typical week may include analyzing productivity data to identify improvement opportunities, facilitating kaizen events or process walks with site leadership, developing implementation plans for new standard work, and presenting findings and recommendations to senior operations leaders. You will serve as the bridge between network-level strategy and site-level execution, ensuring initiatives are adopted consistently and delivering measurable results.



About the team
The ACES Field team within Fresh Fulfillment Centers drives continuous improvement and operational excellence across Amazon's grocery network. We partner with site leadership to identify, validate, and scale productivity initiatives that reduce cost and improve performance. Our team operates at the intersection of data analysis, process engineering, and change management — delivering insights and solutions that make a measurable impact across the network.

Basic Qualifications:

- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
