TCS is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical AML Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join our Financial Crimes Compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing suspicious activity alerts, conducting investigations, analyzing customer transaction behavior, and supporting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance efforts.
The ideal candidate will possess strong investigative skills, a risk-based mindset, and the ability to identify unusual transaction patterns while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze AML alerts generated through Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) systems.
Investigate potentially suspicious activities, including:
Structuring
High-risk/high-volume transactions
Unusual customer behavior patterns
Sanctions-related concerns
Other financial crime indicators
Review alerted activity and evaluate up to 30 days of account history to assess transaction legitimacy and customer behavior.
Conduct customer profile reviews to validate expected account activity and identify inconsistencies.
Perform basic investigations using internal systems and external data sources to gather relevant information regarding transactions and associated parties.
Assess transaction activity and determine whether alerts should:
Be closed with no further action required, or
Be escalated for enhanced investigation and review.
Prepare detailed case documentation, including investigative findings, supporting evidence, and rationale for decisions.
Ensure all reviews are conducted in accordance with AML regulations, internal policies, and compliance procedures.
Collaborate with compliance, risk, and operational teams to support ongoing financial crime prevention initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
1-3+ years of experience in AML, Transaction Monitoring, KYC, Compliance Operations, Financial Crimes, Fraud Investigations, or related fields.
Working knowledge of:
Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations
OFAC sanctions requirements
Financial Crime Compliance frameworks
Experience reviewing transactional data and identifying suspicious activity indicators.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and risk indicators.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple investigations.
Preferred Qualifications
CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification or pursuit of certification.
Experience with transaction monitoring platforms and AML case management tools.
Understanding of customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and sanctions screening processes.
Experience within banking, financial services, fintech, or regulatory environments.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 per year
