Job Description:
 

Our Electrical Engineers research, develop, design, and integrate electrical (Analog, Power, RF/Microwave, and Digital) components, equipment, systems, sub-systems, and networks for the defense of domestic and foreign purposes. As an Electrical Engineer you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of systems and equipment found within our radar systems ranging receivers, exciters and processing electronics and communications systems.

Raytheon is currently seeking an electrical design engineer to join the Receiver, Exciter & Back-End Processing Department (REBP).  The Department’s products contain Analog, RF, Microwave, Low Noise References, Digital controls and embedded Software.  The primary responsibilities will be the development, test, integration and production support of our receiver, exciter products. 

Typical solutions include, modeling, simulation, design, component selection, analysis, test, integration, and transition to production.  If you have working knowledge of Antenna/Radar, Radar design, Receiver/Exciter design, Hardware/Software/Firmware design and test, have taken courses in Microwave/RF, Mixed Signal, VHDL, Digital Signal Processing, Power Systems and enjoy working in a collaborative space, then this is the place for you!

This position is an onsite role.

This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post-Graduate based on the candidate's classification as determined by grad year on resume and provided via questionnaire by candidate as outlined below:

  • (Freshman Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.

  • (Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.

  • (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.

  • (Senior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.

  • (Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship.


 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post-Graduate by the start of summer 2024 in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.

  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.
