Job Summary:

This is an amazing opportunity for an Assembly and Test Mechanic on our 2nd shift team.

Key Responsibilities:

Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components

Acquire tools and hardware as required to perform assembly and test procedures

Follow work instructions and procedures to assemble/dissemble jet engines, components, or other assigned work

Check all phases of assembly, as specified by work instructions, perform self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards

Carry out other tasks within the scope of this job description to support department objectives and to develop individual skills

Support and participate in continuous improvement activities including 6S and QCPC

Maintain and follow all tool control policies

Package engines for shipment to the customer

Basic Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED

2 years formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

A&P License

Experience working from complicated drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions to fabricate, configure, install, remove/replace and set up a variety of power systems, components, modules, and associated equipment

Experience working with Solumina, SFWF, or similar programs.

Ability to obtain and maintain certifications to operate powered industrial vehicles

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
