Professional stream includes those who are individual contributors with main emphasis on applying technical/discipline knowledge rather than managing people to achieve results, although coaching/mentoring less experienced staff, informal supervisory responsibilities, or overseeing work of other lower-level professionals and managing programs or projects are common.

Individual work ranges from leading improvement initiatives and delivering operational performance enhancements to serving as a recognized expert in transport processes, systems, and operating models, influencing tactical decisions across the Area.

Progression within this stream reflects increasing depth of professional knowledge, capability to lead complex transformation initiatives, project management expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and geographies.

A colleague at this level has in-depth knowledge and experience in Landside Transport operations or equivalent, process optimization, system deployment, and continuous improvement methodologies. The colleague routinely applies subject matter expertise to identify efficiency opportunities, eliminate process waste, improve service delivery, and enhance operational scalability. The role drives standardization, automation, and simplification of transport processes while ensuring alignment with global standards and operating principles.

The colleague serves as the Area Subject Matter Expert for transport processes and platforms, supporting the implementation and adoption of global systems, products, and operational initiatives. The role partners with global process owners, technology teams, and local operational stakeholders to translate global solutions into sustainable business outcomes across the Area.

The colleague operates with a high degree of independence, managing multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously, using data and business insight to prioritize opportunities and drive measurable results. Guidance is generally only required for highly complex, strategic, or unprecedented situations.

The colleague understands the broader logistics and supply chain environment and the interdependencies between Landside Transport, Customer Experience, Product, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Technology, and other enabling functions.

Success in this role is measured through process efficiency improvements, standardization compliance, automation adoption, successful implementation of global platforms, operating cost optimization, and realization of productivity benefits across the Area.
