Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Cost Engineer to join our team in Stevenage to support business acquisition and drive cost engineering activities for studies, proposals, and future projects.

Working as a key member of the bid team, your core focus will be the collation, modelling, and analysis of cost and price data to establish robust quotation baselines, ensuring the absolute competitiveness of our future projects.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

• Coordinate and lead comprehensive cost engineering activities for studies, proposals, and future EOS implementation projects.
• Collate, model, and analyse cost and price data to establish accurate quotation baselines and support financial proposals.
• Coordinate bid preparation with all stakeholders to ensure the competitiveness of EOS binding and non-binding offers, effectively implementing the win strategy.
• Lead the estimation process, balancing price-to-win, design-to-cost, value for money, profitability, and liquidity targets against customer and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in and guide engineering decisions to ensure the cost-efficient development and production of EOSX products and product families.
• Manage the timely preparation and submission of financial proposals, supporting schedule, cost, and risk management through to final customer acceptance while influencing stakeholders to optimise processes.

ABOUT YOU

• Experience of cost engineering, estimating, and financial modelling within a complex bidding or business acquisition environment.
• Experience of collating and analysing cost and price data to establish quotation baselines, utilising methodologies such as design-to-cost and price-to-win.
• Experience of coordinating bid preparation and leading multi-disciplinary stakeholders to ensure competitive, compliant, and cost-efficient proposals.
• Experience of supporting project schedule, cost, and risk management through the full proposal lifecycle to final customer acceptance.
