Job Description – Infrastructure Architect (CBS Migration & Modernization)

Position: Infrastructure Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Architect to design, evaluate, and implement robust infrastructure solutions for large-scale Core Banking System (CBS) migration and modernization programs within the BFSI domain.

This role is focused on building scalable, resilient, and high-performance infrastructure environments that support mission-critical banking systems, ensuring high availability, regulatory compliance, and seamless migration from legacy platforms.

Educational Qualifications

• Mandatory: BE / B.Tech / M.Tech (CSE / IT) or MCA

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture

• Assess existing infrastructure landscapes and recommend future-ready, scalable architecture solutions
• Design infrastructure for CBS migration and modernization, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and resilience
• Align infrastructure architecture with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements

Capacity Planning & Performance Optimization

• Perform benchmarking, sizing, and capacity planning for high-volume Core Banking environments
• Optimize throughput, response time, and transaction performance
• Ensure infrastructure readiness to support peak loads and evolving business growth scenarios

High Availability & Resilience

• Design and implement fault-tolerant architectures and high-availability systems
• Define and manage cross-site replication strategies
• Ensure business continuity through robust disaster recovery (DR) frameworks

CBS Migration Support

• Ensure infrastructure readiness for CBS migration, including environment setup, validation, and readiness checks
• Collaborate closely with technical and application teams to support smooth migration and cutover activities
• Ensure minimal downtime and operational stability during migration phases

Security & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to security standards, regulatory guidelines, and audit requirements
• Implement infrastructure-level security controls and compliance frameworks
• Support risk assessments and mitigation planning for infrastructure components

Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with PMO, Technical Leaders, OEMs, and external vendors
• Provide expertise on infrastructure governance, standards, and best practices
• Enable informed decision-making through feasibility analysis and optimization insights

Mandatory Experience & Criteria

• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and design
• Proven experience in leading at least one large-scale Core Technical / Application / Database / Infrastructure transformation or revamp program
• Experience working in high-volume, mission-critical environments

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to the BFSI sector
• Experience with Core Banking Systems (CBS) such as TCS BaNCS or other OEM platforms
• Prior involvement in CBS migration, modernization, or transformation initiatives
