Job Summary:

Agile Radar Solution (ARS), an Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Sub-Business Unit within Raytheon, has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls to join the ARS Production team. 

The ARS Production portfolio consists of domestic and international programs centered on production of the highly technical radar system utilized in the F/A-18 and F-15 jets. This position is in a fast paced, dynamic, and challenging environment with an emphasis on skills in forecasting, large data analysis, and leadership communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading program financial requirements and have Financial Planning & Analysis responsibilities. Success in this role will be dictated by one’s ability to meet critical deadlines while managing conflicting priorities. The lead will need to analyze and understand data quickly in order to make informed business decisions. The candidate will need to exhibit financial independence, possess high business acumen, and exhibit robust analysis within the ARS Production portfolio.  This role must be able to interpret and ensure implementation of Raytheon Financial Policies and Procedures to program personnel as part of their daily/weekly communications. 

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • The responsibilities of this position include various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual routines including the following:

    • Earned Value reporting

    • Baseline Planning and Development

    • Estimates at Completion (EACs)

    • Risk and Opportunity development and tracking

    • External report development

    • Financial forecasting and cash management

    • FP&A responsibilities: Short Range Outlook (SRO), Annual Operation Plan (AOP) and Long Range Strategic Planning

    • Ad hoc analysis

  • The candidate will also support various customer and senior management level meetings.

  • This position will be the lead analyst of multiple programs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of professional Finance working experience; OR an Advance degree and 3 years of professional Finance working experience. Preferred degrees in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field.

  • Experience with financial systems (SAP, APEX, AO) or similar processes.

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Products (advanced Excel).

  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) and ability to communicate effectively to various stake holders and senior leadership.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned value Management knowledge (SPI/CPI/TCPI/IEAC/VAR).

  • Experience in interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering,  Supply Chain Management, etc.) in program production.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment and lead teams to success.

  • Knowledge of Financial Planning and Analysis concepts, related systems, and processes.

  • Strong ability to self-manage / prioritize workload.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to perform independently and in team environments.

Additional Information:

  • This position is grade P3, Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls.

  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

  • Fully remote candidates may be considered based on level of experience/skill.

  • Relocation assistance is not available.

  • Travel expectations are 5-10% of time.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 176,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
