Pratt & Whitney is seeking a goal-oriented, detail-focused Senior Project Engineer to join our Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) team in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for executing Support to Operations activities for commercial engine products, supporting both Pratt & Whitney internal operations and external suppliers.

 

What You Will Do

 

• Support the ESTO project team and Part Family IPTs to provide on-time resolution of non-conforming material
• Support the IPTs with planning and managing the budget for all impacted hardware and tasks.
• Provide planning, coordination, and tracking of open issues in the supply chain requiring Engineering support, including QNs, Deviations, Engineering Changes (Class2s), Engineering First Piece Reviews, Product Recall Investigations, and various Manufacturing process improvement tasks
• Coordinate with Engineering disciplines inside and outside ESTO to ensure rapid responses to critical issues
• Track manufacturing issues and nonconformances to develop and execute proactive improvement plans
• Identify and address project problems and recommend resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Prepare and present status and technical content to IPT Lead(s), ESTO Leadership and other Pratt & Whitney leadership

 

Travel Requirement: Travel up to 20%, Domestic and International.

 

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of engineering experience or an Advanced degree in a related field with 3 years of engineering experience.

 

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience working in the Aerospace Industry within the design and/or manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with program/project management tools (e.g. Systems Applications and Products (SAP), Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Teamcenter).
• Ability to prioritize multiple teams, and competing production requirements in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of hardware, blueprints, and manufacturing methods
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive toward goals
• Proven to work well in a teaming environment

Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO):ESTO provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications, escapes, works stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts, assemblies, modules, and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families, enabling engine deliveries, first piece reviews, first article inspections, analysis automation, process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations. Technical disciplines in ESTO include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, and Manufacturing Engineering.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
