This is an onsite position located in either our Windsor Locks, CT or Rockford, IL facilities.

What You Will Do:

The Contracts Manager will play a key role in supporting the P&C Mil Spares EPS aftermarket business. This onsite role will be based in Rockford, IL, and reports directly to the P&C AM Senior Contracts Manager. The Contracts Manager will have a working knowledge of government contracting and will be responsible for managing a variety of contract activities in a fast-paced environment. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong negotiation and writing skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Generate, interpret, and manage complex proposals and contracts in compliance with internal processes and external customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to government contracting regulations, including FAR and DFAR requirements.
• Assess, interpret, and review contractual documents to ensure compliance with government procurement guidelines and cost control measures.
• Advise and represent the contracts organization on contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with internal functional teams to support contract negotiations and execute agreements efficiently.
• Prepare reports for internal reviews and external customer communication.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on contractual obligations and requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong contractual relationships with internal and external customers.
• Manage the interface between Collins Aerospace and external customers to resolve contractual matters.
• Oversee encumbered outstanding accounts receivable issues.
• Lead small projects and process improvement initiatives, including CORE initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
• Experience with government contracting, including FAR 12 and FAR 15 regulations and commercial item contracting.
• Experience with contract formation, including NDAs, MOUs, and MOAs.
• Experience with proposal compliance reviews, terms and conditions review, and contract negotiations.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience working in the aerospace industry or directly for Collins Aerospace.
• Previous experience in contracts, supply chain, or procurement.
• Experience with SAP software.
• Knowledge and application of government contracting activities.
• Experience managing contracts and proposals in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and set daily goals effectively.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
