We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Officer, Asset Servicing Analyst 1 - C09 - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Asset Servicing Analyst 1 - C09) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you’re expected to:

 

Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of investment-fund orders, ensuring client instructions are validated, placed with the relevant Transfer Agent or Fund Manager within applicable dealing cut-offs, and monitored through to successful execution.

 

• Manage the end-to-end processing of fund orders including subscriptions, redemptions, switches and other supported transaction types.
• Review incoming client instructions for completeness, validity and operational eligibility before order placement.
• Ensure orders are placed with Transfer Agents and Fund Management Companies before applicable fund dealing cut-offs.
• Monitor cash and funding requirements for cleared-fund transactions and identify potential funding issues before order submission.
• Monitor trading queues, operational mailboxes and system-generated exceptions throughout the business day.
• Liaise directly with Transfer Agents, Fund Managers and Vendors regarding order placement, status and execution.
• Monitor outstanding, rejected, delayed or failed orders and perform timely investigation and escalation.
• Follow up on trade confirmations, contract notes and other execution-related documentation.
• Provide timely updates to Client Service and other internal stakeholders regarding outstanding or exception trades.
• Investigate discrepancies relating to order details, trade dates, settlement instructions, fund cut-offs, pricing or execution status.
• Understand fund prospectus requirements and ensure operational processing is aligned with applicable dealing rules.
• Manage manual or non-standard trades where straight-through processing is unavailable, subject to appropriate controls and approvals.
• Support trade cancellations, amendments, corrections and reprocessing where required.
• Escalate time-sensitive issues that may affect the client’s expected trade date or settlement outcome.
• Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with relevant procedures, controls and regulatory requirements.
• Identify recurring trade-processing issues and recommend process improvements or automation opportunities.
• Participate in operational migrations, new-client onboarding, product enhancements and UAT.
• Challenge inefficient or non-standard processes and ensure appropriate risk assessment and controls are implemented.

 

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

 

• Experience in mutual-fund trading, fund distribution, transfer agency, custody or securities operations.
• Good understanding of fund subscriptions, redemptions, switches and dealing cut-offs.
• Knowledge of cleared-fund and settlement concepts.
• Understanding of Transfer Agent operating models and fund-order workflows.
• Ability to manage time-critical transactions and operational exceptions.
• Strong investigation and problem-solving capability.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• High attention to accuracy and operational risk.
• Experience with automated fund-order platforms or STP environments would be advantageous.
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
