Job Description

The Amazon Flex program uses independent drivers—called delivery partners—to deliver to our customers. Through the Amazon Flex app, drivers sign up for the program, schedule pickup times, are guided during routes with the navigation system, and more.

As the Amazon Flex Program Manager, you will be responsible for the strategy and initiatives aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of the deliveries carried out by the program. To achieve your goals, you'll work with diverse areas of the organization, including technology, operations, and marketing. A successful program manager will work to enhance the experience of hundreds of drivers, both within operations and when carrying out delivery routes, through data analysis, identifying obstacles and problem spots, and implementing effective and well-defined standards. These improvements must be balanced with business needs and take into account key operational metrics. Effective stakeholder management skills are essential to balance these competing priorities and delivering effective solutions for our customers and drivers.

Key job responsibilities
Support long-term strategic planning to improve quality and efficiency.
- Work closely with the areas of finance, marketing, capacity management, operations, engineering, and program management on process improvement and launch initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and oversee reports, ensuring clear visibility of project milestones and performance.
- Effectively influence stakeholders through collaboration and effective prioritization.
- Be responsible for key performance indicators and work closely with stakeholders to understand everyday opportunities and challenges in order to implement short and long-term solutions.
- Monitor the execution of projects and ensure that the delivery is at the appropriate quality level and in compliance with the expected deadline.
- Navigate and resolve ambiguities by applying creative problem solving skills.
- Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from becoming larger problems.

About the team
Amazon Flex’s Advocacy Operations (AO) team is seeking highly skilled and motivated operations manager to assist in the tactical operations management and execution of Amazon Flex related projects and deliverables worldwide. This key part of our business makes sure we fulfil and dispatch orders efficiently so that our customers get their items on time. As an operations Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing the operations roadmap and requirements for the operations function in Advocacy Operations. Throughout this process the operations manager will drive continuous innovation and improvements to deliver fast, easy, and rich functionality, and help deliver on the best-in-class customer experience. The successful candidate will manage operations across worldwide Flex-enabled marketplaces (US, CA, UK, IN, JP, AU, SG, MX, BR), leading high-performing managers to execute various tasks including DP account management, bulk communications, compliance workflows, and programmatic support. You will play a pivotal role in implementing strategic automation initiatives while identifying opportunities to build long-term solutions that eliminate manual work without negatively impacting the DP experience.

Basic Qualifications:

- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of advanced Microsoft Word and Excel experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Knowledge of SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Experience working in an analytical environment with cross-functional teams
