Job Description: Project Manager - Civil & InteriorJLL Project Development Services (PDS), Mumbai

Position Overview: JLL Project Development Services Mumbai is seeking an accomplished Project Manager with strong civil engineering and interior expertise to lead complex commercial development and fitout projects. This role demands a seasoned professional capable of managing large-scale projects while delivering exceptional client outcomes in Mumbai's dynamic commercial real estate market.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Execution Manage end-to-end project delivery for commercial developments, office fitouts, retail spaces, and mixed-use projects across Mumbai metropolitan region. Lead project planning, design coordination, construction management, and final handover while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality specifications.

Design & Technical Management Coordinate with architectural consultants, structural engineers, and interior designers to develop comprehensive project solutions. Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and design development submissions. Ensure design compliance with local building codes, fire safety norms, and accessibility standards while optimizing space utilization and functionality.

Stakeholder Coordination Manage relationships with diverse stakeholders including corporate clients, government authorities, consultants, contractors, and vendors. Lead client presentations, conduct progress reviews, and facilitate decision-making processes. Coordinate approvals from Mumbai municipal authorities, fire department, and other regulatory bodies.

Construction & Quality Management Oversee construction activities ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety protocols. Conduct regular site inspections, monitor quality control processes, and manage contractor performance. Implement risk management strategies and resolve technical challenges promptly to maintain project momentum.

Commercial & Contract Management Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are achieved. Negotiate with contractors and vendors, review variation orders, and maintain comprehensive cost control. Prepare detailed progress reports and financial dashboards for client and senior management review.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with additional qualifications in Interior Design, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred. Professional memberships with Institution of Engineers (India) or similar bodies are valued.

Experience Requirements: 8-11 years of progressive experience in project management within commercial real estate, corporate fitouts, or construction industry. Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering Grade A office buildings, corporate headquarters, retail developments, or mixed-use projects in Mumbai or similar metropolitan markets.

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies, structural systems, MEP coordination, and modern interior fitout techniques. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding of green building practices, LEED certification processes, and sustainable construction methods.

Core Competencies: Excellent project management skills with PMP certification preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience managing complex technical challenges. Exceptional communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi with ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and senior executives.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Mumbai's regulatory environment, building approval processes, and local construction practices. Knowledge of contemporary workplace design trends, technology integration, and flexible workspace solutions. Experience with international clients and global project delivery standards.

Location & Travel: Based in Mumbai with regular site visits across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane regions. Occasional travel to other cities for project requirements or JLL training programs.
