Role Overview
As a forward-thinking leader within our Revenue Operations (ROPS) team, you will partner directly with the Vice President and the head of Medicare and Credits Operations to maximize collection speed, optimize Medicare recovery rates, and systematically eliminate leakage across our revenue cycle.
This high-visibility leadership position empowers you to own strategy from concept through frontline execution. You will combine the analytical rigor and structured problem-solving of top-tier management consulting with hands-on operational leadership—architecting our business intelligence engine, diagnosing messy backend workflows, deploying AI-enabled capabilities, and directly driving millions of dollars in bottom-line cash impact for a mission-driven Fortune 500 healthcare leader.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive Gritty Operational Strategy & Opportunity Hunting
- Dissect complex backend revenue cycle workflows—including Medicare billing guidelines, claims adjudication, appeals, and credit balance management—to diagnose operational bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and prevent revenue leakage.
- Lead root-cause operational teardowns that convert raw claims, billing, and payment variance data into targeted, high-impact business interventions across our nationwide operations.
- Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with operational leaders to redesign workflows, optimize recovery pathways, and accelerate speed-to-resolution across Medicare and credit balance portfolios.
2. Architect the Next-Generation BI & Forecasting Engine
- Transition the analytics function from reactive reporting into a proactive, predictive performance engine that powers real-time executive decision-making.
- Establish standardized KPI baselines, build dynamic revenue forecasting models, and institutionalize rigorous variance analysis frameworks to evaluate operational performance against targets.
- Elevate data governance and dashboard suites in Tableau and modern BI tools, empowering frontline operators and executive leadership with self-service, actionable insights.
3. Build & Execute Tech-Driven Capability & AI Roadmaps
- Serve as the strategic bridge between business operations and IT, authoring multi-year capability roadmaps that define what technology to build, why it creates value, and how operations will absorb it.
- Champion the practical adoption of AI, machine learning, predictive modeling, and intelligent workflow automation to transform how accounts receivable and credit resolution are prioritized and executed.
- Define and track measurable ROI metrics for all technology deployments, ensuring technology investments translate into realized cash flow and productivity gains.
4. Lead End-to-End Cross-Functional Transformations & Change Management
- Manage a high-visibility portfolio of strategic cross-functional initiatives across Revenue Operations, Legal, Compliance, IT, and Payer Contracting.
- Apply proven change management methodologies to drive organizational adoption in complex, matrixed environments—earning trust with frontline teams, aligning competing stakeholders, and ensuring sustainable process changes.
- Deliver executive-level, data-driven storytelling and business case presentations to senior leadership and Vice Presidents to secure alignment and resource commitment.
5. Elevate, Mentor, and Develop High-Performing Teams
- Lead, coach, and develop a dedicated team of managers and analysts, cultivating strong capabilities in hypothesis-driven problem solving, quantitative modeling, and executive communication.
- Instill a high-horsepower, continuous-improvement culture that balances analytical precision with pragmatic operational execution.
- Build succession pipelines and develop the next generation of strategic leaders across the Revenue Operations organization.
