The opportunity

Our Tier 1 ranked Restructuring team is growing!

We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Professional to join the Legal team of Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of matters, including commercial litigation, dispute resolution, restructuring and insolvency proceedings, debt recovery, contract drafting and negotiation, as well as general corporate and commercial law projects across various industry sectors.

The role requires active involvement in court proceedings and contentious matters, as well as the preparation, review and negotiation of a wide spectrum of commercial agreements. You will work closely with our clients to identify legal and commercial risks, provide practical and business-oriented advice, and support the successful delivery of complex legal engagements.

You will be expected to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, anticipate and identify risks within engagements, and proactively address issues as they arise. In addition, you will stay informed of applicable legal developments, professional standards, and firm policies and procedures, applying this knowledge effectively to diverse client situations.

To qualify for the role you must have

•  4-5 years of professional legal experience in litigation, dispute resolution and commercial contracts, with exposure to restructuring and corporate law matters (excluding internship period).
• strong understanding of Greek civil, commercial and corporate law, including court procedures, debt recovery and enforcement mechanisms, commercial contracts
• proven experience representing clients before courts and administrative authorities, handling contentious matters, managing litigation cases, and providing strategic legal support in commercial disputes, contract-related matters and debt recovery proceedings.
• a broad understanding of procedures described in the Greek Law No. 4738/2020 "Debt settlement and second-chance arrangement and other provisions"
• experience in courts, related to Restructuring, Rehabilitation, Bankruptcy & Liquidation proceedings
• solid understanding of civil procedure code on enforcement proceedings
• experience with civil and real estate law shall be considered a strong asset willingness to embrace a new challenge, in a non-traditional legal services environment
• strong academic record including degree (bachelor) in Law from a Greek university
• substantial knowledge of MS Office applications
• excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
• excellent communication, organizational and prioritization skills
• strong teamwork, project management and stakeholder management skills
• a results-oriented approach with keen attention to quality, detail and accuracy
• self-motivation and a desire to exceed expectations

Ideally, you'll also have

• Previous exposure to restructuring, insolvency and enforcement proceedings will be considered a strong asset.
• Previous experience in a law firm, international professional services firm (Big 4) and/or in-house legal department.
