This position will lead the Supply Chain Source Inspection programs for Collins Aerospace – Mission Systems strategic business unit, supporting several locations domestically and internationally.  The position is part of the Mission Systems Supplier Quality Operations.  

You will interface with and support all levels of Supply Chain, Operations & Supplier Quality, including senior leadership, third party contracts, customer/government personnel.  The role will ensure that clear expectations are established and flowed down through the Supplier Quality Flow Down requirements, including Terms and Conditions, and third-party contracts.  You will ensure that all contractual requirements are met and maintained clearly and timely, through effective communications with all internal and external customers to respond, inform and mitigate risk.

**This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote. **

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This position will lead a very large, diverse, and talented team, providing site and program source inspection support at supply chain facilities throughout Mission Systems supply chain.
  • Must be able to effectively lead in a dynamic and deliverable driven environment, successfully navigating through difficult situations.
  • Support the full contracts & Program management lifecycle, inclusive of the development of proposals, contract capture & pursuit activity, Request For Proposal assessments & reviews, pre and post-award contract execution, financial aspects of contracts, development of complex negotiation strategies that comply with company policies, mitigate risk and maximize business goals and achieve program and other business objectives; as well as ownership, oversight and administration of contracts within the portfolio 
  • Customer engagement and collaboration
  • Advise senior leadership and program stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations and mitigation of contractual/program risks
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, cost, fee and price.
  • Provide sound contract guidance to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies
  • Partner in a collaborative team environment with program managers, engineers, finance, supply chain, and legal to achieve mission success
  • Continually assesses and promotes sustainable and responsible procurement, including social, cultural and diversity values in the organization and throughout the supply chain
  • Utilizes project management skills and techniques when managing suppliers.
  • Evaluates the challenges faced by the organization and the supply chains and takes action to mitigate risks and to develop opportunities
  • Responsible for leadership and development of direct reports
  • Domestic travel may be required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 4 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Must be okay with 15-20% travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High degree of financial acumen and ability to lead efforts, including budgeting management and financial forecasting.
  • Experience interfacing with external customers and all levels of internal organization
  • Communicating and meeting internal/external customer needs
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Developing & executing Risk/Opportunity plans to meet program goals.
  • Experience achieving goals in a Matrix organizational structure.
  • Experience with MRP Systems and or tools such as SAP, PRISM and Kinaxis
  • Knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
