The Mission

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Manager, the HR Business Partner will provide dedicated support across both program and manufacturing business areas, with time intentionally split between the two areas based on business needs and priorities. The role is responsible for partnering across both environments to understand business objectives, anticipate workforce needs, and deliver practical HR solutions.  The HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders while helping connect people strategy, talent priorities, and organizational needs to the broader business strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide HR partnership across program and manufacturing business areas, balancing time and priorities between the two organizations and maintaining strong visibility and relationships with leaders in both environments.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, providing strategic and day-to-day HR partnership to leaders across program and manufacturing operations.
• Advise division and line managers on workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition, compensation, retention, and development priorities to support informed decision-making.
• Serve as liaison between management and HR Centers of Excellence to resolve issues, implement and deploy programs, adhere to company policy, and mitigate organizational and employee risk.
• Partner with Workplace Relations on complex, sensitive employee relations matters, including investigations, performance concerns, and other workplace issues.
• Partner with leaders on workforce growth and staffing needs, including hiring strategies, workforce capacity, critical skill requirements, and retention priorities.
• Support Manufacturing leaders with workforce matters specific to a production environment, including frontline leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, retention, attendance, workforce stability, and organizational growth.
• Support performance management activities, including PIPs, employee development, talent discussions, and manager coaching.
• Design and deliver manager guidance, tools, and targeted training on HR topics based on emerging business needs.
• Represent the supported organizations on broader HR initiatives, projects and organizational change efforts.
• Lead the Business Area's recognition and reward activities, partnering with the broader sector on larger programs to strengthen employee engagement and reinforce a positive workplace culture.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, critical thinking and decisive action while collaborating across teams, engaging with internal customers, and helping advance the mission.
• Build strong customer relationships and ensure the highest quality of service.

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS with 4–8 years relevant experience, or master’s with 2–6 years.
• Strong HR knowledge with demonstrated initiative and accountability; works independently on high-impact projects.
• Strong HR workplace relations background, and experience delivering guidance and ad hoc training and training materials to management.
• Sound judgment on unclear issues requiring HR domain expertise and analysis.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder influence skills.
• Demonstrated ability to form strong strategic partnerships with internal customers.
• US Citizen; must be Security Clearance eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

• PHR/SPHR or similar HR certification.
• HR experience in Aerospace/Defense.
• HR and workplace relations experience in both engineering and advanced manufacturing environments.
