Summary of Role:

Raytheon UK operates the country’s only dedicated special mission aircraft centre. Our site in Broughton is the Airborne Solutions’ Centre of Excellence for technology research and development.

Our specialist engineers possess expertise in the development, modification and support of cutting-edge airborne surveillance equipment, and carry out all aspects of Line and Base Maintenance certification, troubleshooting and repairs, replacement, modifications and rectification of aircraft in line with approved methods and procedures.

Main Duties:

As a Licenced Aircraft Engineer, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in a base maintenance environment (in accordance with approved OEM’s data and manuals, relevant Civil and Military regulatory airworthiness standards, and Raytheon UK Company policies); highlighting defects and spares issues in a timely manner to facilitate scheduled completion of maintenance activities.

You will take responsibility for rectification, repair, mandatory inspections and certification of all servicing and maintenance tasks within the scope of your approval. You will also be responsible for technical supervision and support to assigned HDL operators; controlling and coordinating maintenance documentation in support of CRS requirements; carrying out ‘first of type’ systems installation testing and Pt145 certification; and providing Pt145 review of the associated Design Office ‘first of type’ test procedures.

Additionally, you may be required to perform Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery at short notice. 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Beech B300 Series (PWC PT6A) B2/C-type rating
  • Proven experience in a similar role; able to demonstrate success in managing acceptable airworthiness, safety and performance standards
  • Comprehensive understanding of Aviation Regulations with regard to CAA and MAA legislation and their application with regard to the maintenance of aircraft
  • Able to fully understand Drawn and Technical requirements of Aircraft Maintenance, Modification and System Integration
  • Willing and eligible to undergo UK Government Security Check (SC-level security clearance)
