Serves as the face of the segmentation and obsolescence organization to customers. Custodian of supply chain business processes and sets overall vision for the segmentation processes and tools. Oversees overall operational performance and success. Responsible for the accountability of the workforce in organizational operations and customer projects.

 

Discipline Description:

Oversees and manages the segmentation of material, and liaises between obsolescence project management,  value stream management, planning, and production. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Regularly interacts and interfaces with customers. May have business development responsibilities.

 

Purpose:

This position is for a seasoned professional in Supply Chain, who works independently, supports the development  of segmentation, obsolescence and various projects, facilitates project tasks with various functional organizations, tracks progress, identifies project problems, and recommends resolutions.

May be eligible for relocation.

 

Responsibility:

  • Supports review of obsolescence plans and forecast schedules for projects under his/her responsibility to ensure adherence to the established program plan and schedule.
  • Tracks progress and identifies/resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules.
  • Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance.
  • Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met.
  • Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

 

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract  
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience, preferred
  • MS Office experience, preferred
  • Prior Aerospace industry experience, preferred
