Position description:

The Global Supply Chain team works closely with suppliers across the world to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. The Account Specialist is the supplier’s main point on contact to ensure they meet our quality and performance standards.

We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership, positive attitude, team player, and communication skills with the ability to work in a challenging environment. The candidate should be able to provide a high level of customer focus while meeting business objectives.

This position will support the Small Machined Parts commodity within MFPC and requires outstanding problem-solving skills & the ability to build efficient working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Engineering, Materials, Aftermarket, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share (GWS) and multiple suppliers across the value stream as well as subtier vendors.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of supplier relationships, including delivery and quality performance, cost and inventory management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee purchase order execution and product delivery, ensuring placement of on-time schedule agreements, MRP recovery, billing adjustments, terminations mitigation & cost reduction goals execution.
  • Ensure GWS’s quotation, cost analysis/price justification, market share appropriations, & placement of schedule agreements are completed timely & in compliance with all appropriate regulations & procedures.
  • Tracking Critical Parts, including the identification of any part shortages by engine module to ensure that the production schedule is met.
  • Drive delivery plans and customer committed actions to completion.
  • Comply with all aspects of the P&W Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, & Transition Standard Work (TSW).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field and 5 years of experience in supply chain or related field OR advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of experience OR in lieu of a degree 9 years of experience can be considered.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in materials or supply chain management in the aerospace industry
  • Proven communication skills are a must.  
  • Experience as a day-to-day user of SAP, entering transactions and running reports.
  • Strong customer focus experience with a focus on business results

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
