This position is for an intern who will be entering their (Junior, senior or Post Graduate) year by the start of summer 2024

Raytheons Engineering's Mechanical Products Team (MPT) Engineers perform research, design, analysis, and development in such areas as mechanical systems, thermal systems, materials, test equipment, hardware processes, or manufacturing processes. You would apply your skills to the design, development, testing and production support of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems, instruments, controls, and/or machines.

This position is for the Precision Control Actuation Systems Department, where your work would be concentrated on the area of control systems, actuation, system and electronics packaging, and harness and interconnect design.

This position is an onsite role. 

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Participate on CAS (Control Actuation Systems) Development Teams
• Perform Mechanical Engineering design tasks using CAD (CREO)
• Conduct Drawing/Document release process
• Perform Mechanical Tolerance Analysis using Geometric Dimension and Tolerance best practices

This position can be a technical intern based on the candidate's classification as determined by grad year on resume and provided via questionnaire by candidate as outlined below:

• (Junior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
• (Senior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
• (Post-Graduate Technical) must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications) by start of internship

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a Junior, Senior, or Post-Graduate by the start of summer 2024 in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering  or related field
• Experience utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools such as CREO or equivalent
• Experience with Engineering Analysis/Simulation software or programming tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar applications
• Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

3.0 cumulative GPA desired

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers who have diverse experiences, communities and cultures

Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
