Job Description: Senior Functional Analyst – Reporting Applications 

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated senior analyst to support and maintain multiple reporting and analytics applications, including SAP BI (WebI), Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (Cubes), SAS Business Rules, Workiva, ARM and related tools. This role focuses on user support, access management, and continuous improvement of reporting processes. The majority of requests are received through ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage user access and address issues reported across various reporting applications (WebI, Power BI, Cubes, Business Rules, among others).
• Process and resolve support requests through ServiceNow, ensuring accurate follow-up and effective solutions.
• Work closely with users to understand reported issues, investigate root causes, and provide clear and practical resolutions.
• Analyze and interpret financial and accounting information (Business Units, Accounts, Departments, etc.), including hierarchical structures such as trees and nodes.
• Apply logical reasoning and SQL knowledge to understand report logic, data filtering, validations, and performance optimization.
• Use Microsoft Office tools—particularly Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables), Power Query, and Power BI—to connect data sources, build reports, and support reporting automation.
• Troubleshoot issues with a strong analytical mindset, adapting solutions when standard procedures do not fully address the problem.
• Communicate effectively with users to clarify requirements, explain findings, and provide guidance, even when requests are not fully defined.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and commonly used financial structures and fields.
• Strong logical reasoning skills and practical experience with SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.
• Experience in reporting, analytics, or application support roles, with a focus on user support and issue resolution.
