This role is part of the Collins Level 2 Digital Technology Support team.  This position is responsible for advanced support of incident resolution and request fulfillment across all four heritage Collins Business Units.  The selected candidate will work on complex trouble tickets that typically cannot be resolved by the Level 1 Service Desk to provide high quality and timely resolution.  Additionally, team members will be asked to help improve the Digital Technology user experience through shift-left process changes, automation, and Knowledge improvements.

** This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote. **

What YOU will do:

  • You will provide incident and request fulfillment support to end users.

  • You will provide high-level IT support and request fulfillment for Collins employees. Find fixes, workarounds, and final solutions by troubleshooting issues while providing exemplary customer service.

  • You will troubleshoot all aspects of hardware and software solutions not resolvable at L1 Service Desk

  • You will create new and update existing solutions for our knowledge base.

  • You will act as escalation path from L1 Service Desk

  • You will provide technical support to users and applications that require a Collins Aerospace and/or US-based employee.

  • You will assist in identifying areas of opportunity to shift-left or automate.

What YOU will Learn:

  • You will foster relationships within the Digital Technology community including IT support, Service Desk, and End Users

  • You will have an opportunity to expand your IT experience and knowledge and become the team focal in several functional and technical areas.

Education & Experience:

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating system.

  • ITIL basic knowledge.

  • Extensive knowledge of current IT hardware & operating systems.

  • Excellent customer and service orientation combined with good communication, team skills, and social competence.

  • ServiceNow experience.

Skills We Value:

  • Knowledge of network and server technology is preferred.

  • A+ and ITIL Foundations certificate(s) preferred.

The salary range for this role is 41,000 USD - 95,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
