The Senior Systems Engineer will be an integral member of our Systems Production team in Tulsa, OK, working with others to help design, analyze, and maintenance of our comprehensive system infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with various systems and technologies, and a passion for ensuring the optimal performance and resilience of network and server systems.

What YOU will do:

  • You will design, implement, and maintain core network equipment, routing, switching, interconnects, and applications.

  • You will build server systems from the ground up.

  • You will pre-install software and hardware staging and configuration.

  • You will pre-install system testing.

  • You will remotely troubleshoot complex software applications installed in a variety of enterprise environments.

  • You will beta test new or modified code.

What YOU will learn:

  • Provide high-level factory support to worldwide deployment teams, first-level site administrators and   second-level factory support personnel.

  • Write technical bulletins, whitepapers, building technical diagrams, installation guides, etc.

  • Technical and organizational skills necessary to facilitate the proposing of installation, configuration, documentation, training, and support of specialized Information Systems.

Education & Experience:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Qualifications you must have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

  • Experience in system and network design and estimates

  • Experience with Linux Operating Systems – Red Hat Enterprise (RHEL)

  • Experience with Licensing and use of Server Operating Systems including Microsoft and Linux

Skills we value:

  • Knowledge of licensing and use of Cloud technologies and environments such as AWS, RedHat, OpenShift, Mongo, Postgres, Elastic Search, Redis etc…

  • Familiarity with PCIDSS and other security standards such as ISO 27001.

  • Understanding of ISO processes.

  • Possess the technical and organizational skills necessary to facilitate the proposing of installation, configuration, documentation, training, and support of specialized Information Systems.

  • Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DFSR, DHCP, IIS, Cluster Server, NLB.
