Job Summary:

Our Digital Technology (DT) organization ensures that Raytheon teammates across the globe can communicate, collaborate, and innovate for customer success. We create leading-edge technology solutions to prevent security threats, protect the integrity of our systems and support Raytheon’s IT infrastructures around the world. System Administrators collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. This position is an onsite role in Pelham, NH, US, relocation support is available for the qualified applicant if they meet company policy.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• You will provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Windows and Linux environment. 
• The selected individual should have a comfortable understanding or knowledge of Windows and Linux fundamentals to include troubleshooting, patching, and security hardening. 
• You should be willing to work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. 
• You will use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. 
• Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours and less than 10% travel to other locations within the Northeast, or other US sites as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree should typically have 6 years of prior relevant experience, or an associate degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience is typically acceptable.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience in Systems Administration of Windows & Linux Operating Systems.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Degree in IT or STEM related field.
• Experience with PC and/or Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
• Active Security+ certification or ability to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of hire date.
• Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi virtual computing methods.
• Experience with security hardening of Linux systems.
• Experience with NetApp data storage and data backup technologies.
• Experience with networking and switch configuration.
• Experience with Monitoring Tools (Splunk/Nessus).
