Supplier Quality Assurance Representative (SQAR), Auditor, Supplier Quality Compliance

requires an energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated person willing to lead, promote, and drive key processes as a member of Collins Aerospace Supplier Quality Organization.

This candidate will be a Supplier Quality Assurance Representative (SQAR), responsible for providing regional oversite of Collins Power and Controls Supplier product and processes.

The candidate will interface with multiple organizations, including suppliers, quality, procurement, operations, and engineering both electronically and onsite. The ability to work well in a team environment is critical in this role in addition to being a strong individual contributor able to self-motivate and manage multiple tasks.

Position requires travel: 25% to 40% (Regionally based in Northeastern United States, primarily CT and MA)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary oversite of all supplier quality activity related to compliance and product release for assigned suppliers.
  • Execution of assigned audits for quality systems and flight safety in accordance with Collins Supplier Quality flow down requirements.
  • Management and timely closure of all corrective actions resulting from audit findings.
  • Oversite and approval of Supplier Designated Quality Representatives (DQRs) sourcing product on behalf of Collins Aerospace.
  • Review and approval of supplier First Article Inspections for product supporting new programs as well as onsite review for flight safety hardware.
  • Validation and communication to various functions on execution of work transfer activity to prevent product escapes.
  • Ensure process discipline is being followed.
  • Driving robust strategic actions with select processes to improve and maintain quality performance.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Auditor certification (AS9100, AS9120)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or other related business or technical functions. Significant years of industry experience in a technical role may offset technical degree.
  • Experience with aerospace industry certifications (AS9100, AS9120, AS9102, ISO9001, AS13002, FAA etc.)
  • Knowledge and ability to execute various problem solving and quality tools such as RCCA, 5 Why, PFMEA, etc.  
  • Experience reviewing and approving First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate data for status reports and metrics
  • Knowledge of inspection, six sigma, process certification, and statistical process control and process improvement methodologies

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
