Responsibilities to Anticipate (include but are not limited to):

• Supervises and leads a team of approximately 10-15 members.
• The Section Lead role is anticipated to be approximately 15% of the work week, with the remainder being Test Systems Engineering work within the TEE organization.
• Maintains TEE relationships with Strategic Business Unit (SBU)/Programs.
• Translates SBU needs to TEE departments.
• Resolves issues between SBU and TEE as need arises.
• Champions SBU/program adoption of common and reusable test solutions.
• Drives SBU/Program Test Roadmap and strategy alignment with TEE roadmap.
• Establishes meaningful and measurable goals and communicates effectively with their team to ensure alignment with the department and center.
• Conducts formal and informal performance reviews and career development discussions with team members.
• Supports TEE hiring goals as well as leads the onboarding of new section personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (10) years’ prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree and 7 years of experience.
• Experience with all the functionalities of Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience for both test hardware and/or software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production/manufacturing/product qualification environments and processes.
• Experience working with and communicating with all levels of management and individual contributors on a program team at different work site locations.
• Experience mentoring and providing career development direction for staff engineers.
• Experience coordinating program staffing needs and skills to meet demand for multiple Test System Engineering programs.
• Willing to travel as needed to other company facilities, manufacturer/contracting suppliers, and/or industry conferences.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing a cross functional team (electrical, software, mechanical, etc.).
• Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation for Test Systems Engineering programs.
• Earn Value Management System (EVMS) knowledge.
• Agile Methodologies understanding.
• Knowledge of Electro Optical/ Infrared technology across sensors and systems.
• Experience developing Test Equipment for production test environments.
• Strength in developing artifacts for electrical, software, mechanical, or optical designs
